Meeting Purpose: Board Elections
Each year, half of MYSA’s elected positions come up for re-election. The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is conducted to hold these elections and to discuss other pertinent business for the organization. Being an even-numbered calendar year, the following positions will be elected: Vice President, Treasurer, Fundraising Officer, Games Officer, and Insurance Officer. Of those positions, several of the incumbent’s will not be seeking re-election. We must have new volunteers to continue MYSA functions.
We will also be seeking to elect candidates into vacant positions such as President, Publicity Officer, Coaching Coordinator, and Fields & Equipment Officer. We are fortunate to have people acting in these roles and will be seeking to vote for the remaining 1 year on those positions’ term.
Many of the current board members have been doing this for several years and it is time to restaff with fresh volunteers. If you have ever thought about helping out, now is the time to get involved. If you wish to be nominated for any of the positions listed above please email our Acting President, Brian Bright, or our Vice President, David Lyons.
All members are encouraged to attend and participate in nomination and voting on candidates for MYSA Positions. Members include parents, coaches, and volunteers. The MYSA constitution is located on our website if you wish to read more about the vacant positions and what is expected of that position.
